Jarrod Hays is the oldest of three children, a father to his daughter, and a husband to his wife.
LEGAL CAREER HISTORY
He attended law school at Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. There he studied real estate and agency law, and interned with the Americans with Disabilities Act legal oversight agency for the state of Oregon. He graduated in 2008 and was admitted to the Washington State Bar that same year. He spent the early part of his career in criminal defense in the Puget Sound region, specializing in DUI and domestic violence cases before branching out into civil litigation when he established his solo practice in Olympia. There he worked on family law, debt collection, real estate, and business entity formation as well as continuing his work with criminal matters.
In addition to his legal career, he invested and co-founded an e-commerce business in 2014. He served as both general counsel for the business and managing administrator, maintaining the books and employment regulatory requirements; he also negotiated vendor/vendee contracts, non-disclosure, lease, and loan agreements before divesting his interest.
In his free time Jarrod enjoys volunteering at his church, reading, and spending time with his family.
