Jonathan Hyman, Attorney at Law, practicing immigration law in the Tri-Cities at Clearwater Law Group

Jonathan (Jon) grew up on the United States East Coast and graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree.  His concentration of study focused on Environmental Racism.  Upon graduating college, he traveled across the country to Colorado to reunite with his brother and apply for law school.  In 2002, he received his law degree from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver.  He was a member of the Water Law Review, Earthjustice Law Clinic, and the Native American Law Students Association.  He has practiced in several areas of law but the last 14 years has practiced solely in Criminal and Immigration Defense.  At last count, he has represented clients from 52 countries across the world.  Continuing his westward journey, he moved to Washington in 2021 to represent immigration clients at the Clearwater Law Group in the Tri-Cities.

Legal career history.

Jon is well-grounded in criminal law and its consequences for both documented and undocumented immigrants.  In his experience, he has appeared in nearly 1000 immigration cases.  His scope of immigration services includes removal cases before the Executive Office of Immigration Review, affirmative family-based cases, victim visas, and asylum applications before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service and appellate work before the Board of Immigration Appeals and federal circuit courts.  Devoted to justice and believes that every person deserves an equal opportunity to achieve the American Dream, Jon approaches every client with respect and an understanding that while the legal system can be daunting, it can be navigated successfully with appreciable results.

Jon is currently licensed to practice federal immigration law in any State.  He is currently licensed to practice all areas of law in the State of Colorado with his Washington license forthcoming.  He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and routinely volunteers his time through a virtual law clinic for the African Leadership Group in Colorado.

Personal life.

When not at the firm, Jon enjoys concerts, sports, playing pool, photography, outdoor activities, and most of all, time with his wife, daughter, and their English Bulldog, Tickle.
